White Goods Appliances and Environmental Products

We recommend white good appliances which conform to the most beneficial environmental ratings including energy efficiency, energy consumption, energy savings and overall value with cost benefits. All recommended appliances bear the A, A+ or A++ rating and where approved display the European Ecolabel. All magor brands are supplied with models that comply with the recommended ratings. This applies to both commercial and domestic appliances.

Environmental Light Bulbs
Traditional light-bulbs use 90% of their energy emitting heat, which is indicative of how wasteful they are in energy terms. Modern energy efficient light-bulbs use up to 70% less electricity than traditional types, last around ten times longer and emit far less heat. Although they are more expensive than traditional types, energy efficient light-bulbs save the user money on electricity bills over time. Perhaps the most environmentally significant aspect of energy efficient light-bulbs is the reduction of co2 emissions. Energy efficient lightbulbs will cost around £5 - £15 initially, but will pay for themselves in the long run, as they reduce the energy consumption by as much as 70%, and can last up to 13 times longer than ordinary bulbs, with a typical lifespan of 10,000 hours.
